Eastern Illinois sophomore Haleigh Knapp was named the Ohio Valley Conference Female Field Athlete of the Week after setting the EIU school record in the high jump during last week's ISU Redbird Invite. Knapp cleared 5'10.50" to win the event, her third first place finish this spring. Her height was three quarters of an inch higher than the previous school record held by Maura Cummins (2013) and Tina Dawson (1989). Knapp holds the best high jump mark in the OVC this season while ranking seventh in the NCAA West Region and 14th in the NCAA. EIU returns to action this Saturday at the Illinois Twilight.
