Eastern Illinois men's and women's track will compete in the 2016 Ohio Valley Conference Championships this Friday and Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee with the meet hosted by Tennessee State. The heptathlon and decathlon will begin competition each morning at 9 a.m. The Panther men won last year's OVC Outdoor Championship and have claimed 15 titles during the past 19 seasons in the league. The EIU women placed second at last year's OVC meet and have previously won six outdoor titles with the last coming in 2013. Entering the OVC Championships EIU currently has 19 athletes and three relay teams ranking in the top three in their events.
