CHARLESTON, Ill. Tickets are now on sale for this year's Eastern Illinois Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet set to take place on Saturday, October 8. The luncheon will take place at 12 pm in the Grand Ball Room of the MLK Union on campus. Tickets for the luncheon are $20 per person and can be purchased by phone by calling the EIU Ticket office at 217-581-2106 or by downloading and returning the online order form at www.eiupanthers.com The Hall of Fame football game will be that evening at 6 pm against Tennessee State followed by a fireworks show. Tickets for the football game are $20 per person. Individuals wishing to attend both the luncheon and football game may purchase a combination package at a discounted rate of $32 per person. Discounted tickets for children (ages 4-11) for both the football game and luncheon are also available. Game tickets are $5 per child, while luncheon tickets are $10 per person. Tickets for this year's Hall of Fame Banquet must be ordered by Friday, September 30. Any ticket/banquet ticket orders returned prior to Sept. 20 will be mailed. All other orders will be available for pick-up at the banquet or football game. The 2016 EIU Athletic Hall of Fame Class includes Jeff Christensen (football), Brett Nommensen (baseball), Sandyn Short Connolly, Gabe Spezia (track) and Dr. Gail Richard (administrator). In addition to the Hall of Fame Banquet and football game, EIU volleyball will play at home that afternoon at 1:30 pm against Murray State. Admission to the volleyball match is free.
